Reviews

Moms need TLC during their postpartum period. This includes good food, in addition to rest, bonding, and other healing. And food really is the best medicine. This one-of-a-kind book is in two parts: Part I, Food as Medicine educates us on the concept of Ayurveda, which foods are helpful or to be avoided, and getting prepared with tools and supplies that will be needed for cooking. Part II, Recipes for Postpartum Healing, is broken down by postpartum days, and contains 70 delicious, healing recipes.

This is an amazing cookbook and philosophy that I wish all mothers could benefit from. It truly is amazing and healing to take care of our diets postpartum as described in Mama’s Menu. I’m a certified nurse midwife in training and this will be my go to book for my mamas. Thank you!

This postnatal self-healing book is a must have for all new moms. I absolutely loved Ameya’s effort in it, and her instructions are very easy to follow. I am now 1 month postpartum, and i already feel very light and healed. Give yourself this wonderful gift for healing. It’s worth every penny.

I loved this cookbook so much. The recipes were delicious, and I noticed my digestion and milk supply were so much better with this birth than it was with my first. The meals were so nourishing and felt like a sacrament for my body during my healing process. I loved that these are mostly plant based meals as I don’t enjoy eating meat. Most other postpartum cookbooks involve meat, and this one was perfect!  I recommend this book to everyone who is looking to heal and be nourished after having a baby. I highly recommend!

With a gentle foundation of Ayurveda that governs the rationale behind the ingredients of each recipe in the book, the reader feels quite equipped and even eager to start cooking because they all appear so delicious while being practical! The book certainly has laid my mind at ease and given me confidence that I can eat and recover right! I’m so eager to share this with all my expecting friends!
